GSTR-2B is the government's monthly statement of the input tax credit available to you. Matching compares it against the purchases you booked, so you claim only the credit you're actually entitled to.

GSTR-2B government ka monthly statement hai jo aapko available input tax credit batata hai. Matching isko aapke book kiye gaye purchases ke against compare karta hai, taaki aap sirf woh credit claim karein jiske aap sach mein haqdaar hain.

Step by step

Open it — GST tab → GSTR2BMatching → Download (an OTP comes to the registered mobile — “OTP send successfully”).
Enter the OTP (“OTP Verified”) to pull the period's 2B.
Run Match; each row gets a remark — Matched, Approximately Matched, UnMatched, Absent in Marwari+ (on the portal but not in your books), or Not Available in Portal (in your books but not on the portal); review and export.

Tip

If nothing matches, suspect a blank GSTIN on the party ledger, or very different invoice numbers.

Tip

How close is “approximately”? The Control Room features ‘2B Matching Tolerance Amount’ and ‘2B Matching Tolerance Days’ set the allowed difference.

Isko kholein — GST tab → GSTR2BMatching → Download (ek OTP registered mobile par aata hai — “OTP send successfully”).
OTP enter karein (“OTP Verified”) taaki period ka 2B pull ho.
Match chalayein; har row ko ek remark milta hai — Matched, Approximately Matched, UnMatched, Absent in Marwari+ (portal par hai par aapki books mein nahi), ya Not Available in Portal (aapki books mein hai par portal par nahi); review karke export karein.

Tip

Agar kuch bhi match na ho, to party ledger par blank GSTIN, ya bahut alag invoice numbers ka shak karein.
