MarwariPlus can hold two sets of books inside the same company — a Business set and a Personal set — and lets you switch which one you are looking at. The current mode is shown at the top of the main window. Business shows your regular trading books, Personal shows the entries you keep aside as personal, and Mix shows both together. It is useful when an owner wants personal transactions recorded in the same software but kept out of the day-to-day business reports.

Your business reports — Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, ledgers and stock — stay clean, because personal entries live in a separate Personal set and do not appear while you are in Business mode. How it works

Every voucher series is marked for the mode(s) it belongs to — Business, Personal, or both. When you switch mode, the software shows only the series (and the accounts and stock behind them) that belong to the mode you picked. So to record something as personal, you simply make the entry under a series that belongs to the Personal set.

Tip

When you log in, the software starts in Business mode by default. Use Mix when you want to see business and personal figures together.

Who can switch modes

Switching modes is controlled by a per-user right. Depending on how a user is set up, they may: not be allowed to change mode at all; be able to switch between Business and Personal only; or get all three — Business, Personal and Mix. If nothing happens on Ctrl+Alt+M, that user does not have the right to change mode.

Watch out

Personal mode does not delete or move anything — it only changes what you are viewing. Business entries are simply hidden while you are in Personal mode, and come back when you switch to Business or Mix.

Watch out
