Ledger groups are the folders your accounts live in. MarwariPlus ships the standard ones (Sundry Debtors, Bank, Direct Expenses…); here you can add your own groups and place them under the right parent so they roll up correctly in reports.

In detail

Created on the ledger-group screen (List tab → Ledger → Group).

Step by step
  1. Open it — List tab → Ledger → Group, then Add.
  2. Enter the group Name (e.g. ‘Transport Parties’).
  3. Pick the correct Under parent (e.g. Sundry Creditors) — the new group inherits its section of the reports from this.
  4. Press Ctrl+S to save; new ledgers can now be filed under it.
Key points
  • Name, an optional Alias, and Under (the parent group it rolls up into).
  • Every group carries a Nature — Asset / Liability / Income / Expense — inherited through its parent. The Nature is what actually decides whether the group's ledgers land in the Balance Sheet (Asset/Liability) or the Profit & Loss (Income/Expense).
  • The standard groups the software ships with are system groups — they can't be deleted; your own groups can be deleted only while no ledger uses them.
Example
A group for transporters. You pay many transport companies and want them together in reports. Create group Transport Parties with Under = Sundry Creditors. File each transporter's ledger in it — the Balance Sheet now shows one tidy ‘Transport Parties’ total you can drill into.
Watch out
Placing a group under the wrong parent silently misplaces every ledger in it across the reports — set Under carefully.
In detail

Step by step
  1. इसे खोलें — List tab → Ledger → Group, फिर Add।

Watch out
किसी group को गलत parent के नीचे रखने से उसके सारे ledgers reports भर में चुपचाप गलत जगह चले जाते हैं — Under ध्यान से set करें।

Can I delete a group?क्या मैं कोई group delete कर सकता हूँ?
Only your own groups, and only while no ledger uses them. The standard groups the software ships (system groups) can't be deleted.
