In detail

MOP is entered in the MOP box inside the receipt / payment / billing screens; the money posts to the ledger each mode maps to.

Key points

Each MOP line maps to a cash or bank ledger, with an amount and an optional reference number (cheque / UPI ref).
A single receipt can be split across modes (part cash, part UPI) — one line per mode.
Control Room features ‘Mode Of Payment Required’ and ‘Mode Of Payment is Compulsory’ control whether the MOP box appears and whether it must be filled.
The MOP Register report summarises collections by mode.

Tip

If a day's cash doesn't tally, run the MOP register — a receipt entered under the wrong mode is the usual cause.

A per-user right Allow MOP also exists on the User screen.
