Meta Settings control how individual fields appear on the busy screens (billing, reports, lists) — a field's caption, its width on the entry form and in grids, and its order. Setting a width to 0 hides that field. It's how a field ‘goes missing’ or a column is too narrow.

Tidy each customer's billing and list screens to just the columns they need, at the right width — and it's the answer when someone says ‘a field is missing’ or ‘the column is too small’.Har customer ki billing aur list screens ko sirf zaroori columns tak, sahi width par, tidy karein — aur jab koi kahe ‘ek field missing hai’ ya ‘column bahut chhota hai’ to iska jawab yahi hai.
In detail
Every field on the main screens (the billing screen, report grids, master lists) has a Meta Setting row. It stores a friendly Display Name, a UI Width (its width on the entry form), a Grid Width (its width in the table/grid), and two Display Index numbers for the order in each place.
A width of 0 hides the field — on the form (UI Width 0) or in the grid (Grid Width 0). This is the usual reason a box or column ‘isn't there’. Meta Settings sit on the hidden Personalize tab (Ctrl+Alt+P → Meta Setting).
Step by step
Press Ctrl+Alt+P → open Meta Setting.
Find the field by its Name and open it.
Set Display Name (its caption), UI Width (form) and Grid Width (grid).
Use UI / Grid Display Index to change where it sits in the order.
Save, then re-open the screen (or re-login) to see it.

What it does
Name
The internal field id — how you find the right row.
Display Name
The caption shown to the user for that field.
UI Width
Width on the entry form. 0 = hidden on the form.
Grid Width
Width in the table/grid. 0 = hidden as a column.
UI Display Index
Order of the field on the entry form (lower = earlier).
Grid Display Index
Order of the column in the grid (lower = earlier).
Example
‘The Weight column is missing on my bill.’ Ctrl+Alt+P → Meta Setting → find the Weight field → set Grid Width to something like 80 (it was 0) → Save → re-open billing. The column is back.
Watch out
A width of 0 hides a field — so ‘a field disappeared’ almost always means its UI or Grid Width was set to 0 here.

Ctrl+Alt+P dabayein → Meta Setting kholein.
Field ko uske Name se dhoondhein aur kholein.
Display Name (uska caption), UI Width (form) aur Grid Width (grid) set karein.
Order mein woh kahan baithe, badalne ke liye UI / Grid Display Index use karein.
Save karein, phir screen dobara kholein (ya re-login karein) taaki dikhe.
